Default Office of a Nurse-The Ward

The Ward is the default office of Nurses , and every Nurse passes through the ward at one time either during training as a Student Nurse or most normally seen continues to work in there after graduation.
The ward serves as a day to day office of a nurses where he/she opens every morning, organize it the way it should be, make decision as at best interest of her job and that of her patients.
At the Nurses office, they work from bed to bed, taking into account of every patients progress pertaining their reasons for hospital or clinic visitation.
The basic tool and the most important equipment nurses Use in this office is called "Care Plan" . The plan allows as a nurse to have a define channel of care as well as a more detailed form of management of a patient irrespective of the case.
Components of Nurses Ward includes: Nurses Station, the patients, the beds, the report book, the changing room, Emergency drugs, bed clothes..., etc. Nurses take great charge in making sure that all activities and events going on in the wards are recorded to ensure accountability as well as encourage documentation.

However, in the nurses default offices, there has always been a streamlined form of organization as a result of the leadership structure normally observed, i.e The Head Nurse, and the different cadres of nurses who work in the same office make the duty simplified and organized.
The practice of personalized care in the ward gives a particular nurses an office of a patient to totally take charge and though with some supervisor in the developed world, it still encourage quick and fast learning for the newly qualified nurses.
The ward though serve as the major meeting point between all healthcare professions in every health care settings, it is indeed the HUB of every hospitals as mostly all transaction in terms of patients care goes on inside the ward or the clinic.
Timing however, is one reason why nurses are always at their duty post or office and as such seen to be the focal point in these area of the hospital, a nurse always commit to duty 30minutes before taking over, ensuring their is no gap in between the office management. 
Proper management of the ward of a great task for nurses, though used by every other professional , the nurse has and will always be seen as the KING of the wards and will always be hold accountable to happenings within their various wards.
Ward setting s may be different, but the idea of its organizations and management goes with the same philosophy. One thing though is that the nurse though the ward handlers, do not sanction or determine the type of patients who comes and goes out of their offices via admissions as this are mostly done by the physicians.
How a nurse handles her office may be solely determined by their superior in most times however, "Ethics of Nursing" is also a determining factor in the procedural aspect of a nurse activities in his/her office(The Ward)
Hence the ward being the default office of a Nurse, serves as the reference point and used in most of the time to determine the nurse level of commitment to service.
